The Institute of Earth Sciences Jaume Almera (ICTJA), of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), is looking for candidates for Marie Sklodowska Curie Individual Fellowships to develop research projects in paleoecology using pollen analysis. Candidates should have experience in Quaternary palynology, as demonstrated in their publication records, and fulfil the requirements of the program. Current research topics to be addressed this time include Last Glacial to Holocene paleoecology of the southern Pyrenees, Easter Island and the Azores Islands. The research is focused on the natural and anthropogenic drivers of past ecological change and the shaping of present-day vegetation and landscape patterns. Projects will be developed in the Laboratory of Paleoecology of the ICTJA (Barcelona, Spain) under the direction of Valentí Rull.
